BVG is actively involved in the current Lithium boom being experienced by the exploration industry. We are conducting mapping, soil sampling, tenement acquisitions and drilling programs for companies throughout the Goldfields and Great Southern. Understanding the complex geochemical and geological interactions required to form stable Li–Ta mineralogy within a pegmatite system is the key to successful exploration. Being able to do this analysis on the ground gives rise to a better geological understanding in a shorter timeframe at a far reduced cost to current geochemical exploration techniques. BVG employs a set of novel, in-field, multi-element analytical techniques to identify fractionation trends within pegmatite fields leading to rapid evaluation of tenements and accurate vectoring into target areas. We have demonstrated and validated this approach both on surface geochemistry and through 3D analysis of drill hole data, where a pegmatite field’s direction of travel has been ascertained leading quickly to discovery. BVG can also evaluate existing multi-element data sets or efficiently and non-destructively re-analyse previous samples/core to bring out the detail hidden in old data. |
